UK Immigration, Nationality, Citizenship by Investment & Family Law

  • Is your longterm plan to make the UK your home?
  • Are you looking for the quickest path to permanent residence?
  • Is your immigration status in the UK uncertain?
  • Do you wish to work or do business in the UK?
  • Do you want to understand how the Home Office think?
  • Are you a business wishing to employ a foreign national?

UK Immigration is a complex system of laws, rules and policies that change continuously.  Sometimes, people who have entered the UK perfectly legally find that they have fallen off their "Immigration route" and are without leave to remain - in other words, they no longer have permission to be in the UK and are classed as "Overstayers" or illegal immigrants.

Once this happens there are severe restrictions placed on what the person can do in the UK.  For example, you could lose the right to work, study, rent accommodation or have a bank account.   You are also liable to be detained without notice and forcibly removed from the UK back to your country of origin.

Until you have obtained indefinite leave to remain then your status in the UK is uncertain or "precarious".  Indefinite leave to remain or settlement means you are no longer subject to immigration control and you have the right to live in the UK without time limit.

You may have family members or friends who are outside the UK and you wish to get a visa for them to visit or attend a special ocassion.

Due to the harsh approach that the UK government have taken to reduce immigration from outside the European Union the Immigration Rules ( and the loopholes!) are constantly shifting.

At Rogols, we have particular expertise in helping people who have entered the UK legally but have since lost their lawful residence here.  We will advise you how to regularise your immigration status and live lawfully in the UK.
