We are a niche Immigration solicitors practice in Birmingham. We are based in the Jewellery Quarter. We take instructions from clients all over the UK and from clients who are abroad whether your case concerns family law or UK immigration.
Our team is led by Rachel Okello, a Solicitor who specialises in UK immigration and family law issues. Rachel started practising law in 1998 and qualified as a Solicitor of England and Wales in November 2002. During her career she has specialised in criminal law, family law and immigration law.
She now focuses on immigration and family law. She has a particular interest in cases involving the right to family life and protecting the rights of people who wish to live in the UK to be with family members.
She has worked for a medium sized law firm in the city centre and also for a small high street practice. She therefore has a dynamic way of practising law to accommodate clients of all backgrounds.
Rachel is a mother of 4, was born in Wales to Caribbean Grenadian parents and is married to a Ugandan. She has studied law at University in France and worked as an English teacher in the Middle East. She considers herself to be very much a citizen of the world. She has been an immigration expert guest on BBC West Midlands radio, IRIE FM Jamaica, is a regular immigration expert guest on Birmingham’s Newstyle radio and also ran a series on Hope FM which is specifically aimed at Seventh Day Adventist church members.
She also kept a regular immigration slot in a national community newspaper.
She is the founder and Chair of Black Women in Politics – a cross party initiative aimed at encouraging women to engage in politics.
In November 2017 Rachel won an award for Best Legal Advisor at the Bex Live Awards which was recognition of the hard work of the whole Rogols Solicitors team.
